Workshop Teachers
Danielle Houpt- This is Danielle’s 5th summer teaching at WDCSP. She is thrilled that during these times, we still have the opportunity have this community virtually! Danielle has been a part of this program since it began and loves to see it grow. She has been a dancer for over 20 years now and just graduated with a Bachelor’s in Marketing from Rowan University this spring.
Gianna Leonen- Gianna is so excited to be returning as a part of the WDCSP staff! She just finished her sophomore year at Rowan, where she double majors in History and Education. In addition to WDCSP, she participates in community theatre, most recently at Haddonfield Plays & Players. She knows this summer isn’t exactly what we had planned, but knows it’s gonna be one for the books no matter what! As we learned last year in Seussical, “Anything’s Possible!”
Derek Lynch- This is Derek's 8th summer with the West Deptford Center Stage Players. He has been in almost every position, starting out as a volunteer for the Jr shows, and am now the Assistant Director of the Teen Shows. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he obtained a duel BA in both Musical Theatre and Directing. He currently teaches in the Woodbury City Public School district as an Instructional Assistant for Kindergarten. Derek also is the director of the Fall and Spring musicals at the Woodbury Jr/Sr High School. He wants all our performers to know, "Theater has been one of the biggest parts of my life, and I look forward to working with each and every one of you this summer! We may not be onstage, but the show must go on!"
Emily Yerkes- This is Emily’s fourth year working on staff for WDCSP. Emily has been involved in this camp since it started and is super excited to continue working with WDCSP this year. Outside of summer theater, you can find Emily working at Duffield’s Farm Market in the bakery or singing in her church’s Praise Band alongside her dad and sister. Emily is finishing up her dual degrees at Rowan University-Elementary Education and English. She just recently finished up her first semester of student teaching and will be finishing in the fall.
